In fact, we estimate that approximately 80 percent of our litigation cases are resolved before trial through the voluntary and nonbinding process of mediation. We also bring actions for the U.S. enforcement of judgments rendered by foreign courts.

Examples of Our Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience

• Representing the defendant in mass tort litigation, we successfully settled thousands of claims against the company in a single mediation.
• Representing a young man who suffered profound injuries in a building collapse, we filed an action against multiple defendants. In a mediation conducted on the verge of trial, we negotiated a settlement for our client valued at approximately $4.5 million dollars.
• In a mediation, we obtained an excellent settlement for the members of a family in a dispute involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty in connection with real estate holdings, various limited liability companies, limited partnerships and foreign corporations valued at approximately $20 million.
• We obtained a multimillion-dollar settlement in arbitration proceedings over a commercial contract for a client based in Hong Kong. These international arbitration proceedings involved the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.
• Through mediation, we have settled hundreds of property damage and personal injury cases for our defendant clients in the electric utilities industry.
